Since its launch in late 2013, the R&V Foundation has held successful events in both the UK and in France designed to raise awareness of its work, celebrate poetry and Anglo-French cultural exchange, and promote the creation of the ‘poetry house’ at No 8 Royal College Street. Events already run by the Foundation include the following:
May 20th 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
A lecture and discussion on how the celebrated Welsh poet Dylan Thomas styled himself and his creativity on the French poet Arthur Rimbaud given by Andrew Lycett.
Mar 13th 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
A joint event with Keats’ House, held in the house situated in Hampstead. The evening featured a showing of the film House of Knives and brief discussion between Graham Henderson, CEO of the Foundation, David Harsent, the award-winning poet and librettist, and Vicky Carroll, director of Keats’ House, about the Foundation’s plans to develop a European-style poetry houses in London.

An illustrated talk by Professor Peter Read of the University of Kent at Canterbury focusing on how literature shaped Picasso’s art during his early years in Paris.
Sep 24th 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Michael Corby, the Foundation’s benefactor, hosted an evening lecture and recital at the Reform Club on the 24th September.
