Fauré’s Verlaine Settings

Kings Place - 90 York Way, London N1 9AG

Gabriel Fauré (1845-1924), one of the France’s greatest and most popular composers, was obsessed with the poetry of his fellow Frenchman Paul Verlaine (1844-1896), setting many of his poems to music.

Presented by the Rimbaud and Verlaine Foundation, and marking the publication of Fauré’s Verlaine settings, Vol 3 of Fauré’s complete songs, this fantastic musical event will be introduced by the celebrated pianist and musicologist Roy Howat and will feature many of the songs, performed by leading singers and musicians from the Royal Academy of Music.

Tickets cost £14.50 and can be booked on the Kings Place website.

Held in partnership with Poet in the City, Rimbaud and Verlaine Foundation’s sister organisation.
